'vim has a strong army of fanboys behind it. Loads of hipster "web developers" who have somehow been convinced that vim is the best editor on the planet. I'm convinced the fanboyism is due to Stockholm syndrome.
There aren't really any emacs fanboys, though. There's no reason convince people to use emacs unless they are your friends and you want to make them happy.'
