Walking around the block I saw a mom with a preschool age child. The child was talking too loudly struggling to get the words properly pronounced. The thought that popped up in my head surprised me because if it had been 1 year ago, such idea wouldn't have appeared in my head at all. Even more, I would have quickly marked similar thoughts as 'stupid', 'irrelevant', 'dumb' and so on.

The thought was:

You have failed as a parent, if you child speaks Russian.

Actually I'm still surprised with myself.
