A historical tidbit.
Before launching a new service that was going to deliver value to CompuServe (google it) customers, CompuServe used a list of screening criterias against which they were evaluating the idea. Will the app:
- save the user's time;
- save the money;
- educate him;
- entertain him.
2/4 -- the app might be successful. 3/4 -- definitely will be successful.
For example, Facebook gets 0/4. StackOverflow 2/4, HN 1/4, Reddit 1/4.
