Ух-ух. Кто-то спросил, можно ли попросить копа убрать свой ган пока они кушают:

Along comes the manager, yes a manager, to their table with a request from another customer; something along the lines of "a customer here says that your gun is making her nervous and asked if you could put it in your car instead of wearing it in here."

My sister's response to that was along the lines of "if she has an issue with me carrying my service weapon while on duty -I would like for her to come to me instead of you." Of course, nobody took that up, to which Mom and Sis -weapon included- left after they were done eating..

This thread makes my head hurt. I can't believe that people are so dumb.

I was at the local ER, after following the ambulance crew there. They had a drunk I found bleeding in the street, he wasn't a problem, but whatever. Anyway, I was BSing with nurse (whose 16 year old son I had just taken on a ride along a few nights back, she was going on about how he loved it) when some doctor comes up to me and tells me I can't carry my gun in the ER, due to some BS licensing board being there. I told her "yes..I can" I chose to leave, rather than argue with her.

The fact that the manager of that restaurant asked such a ridiculous request shows that that eating establishment is not 'police friendly'. I would not eat there and let all the other coppers know. The ignorance that many citizens have amazes me.
